Hello everyone! Welcome to the new Larpworks.com.

We’ve updated our website and are adding new improvements all the time. Please feel free to leave a comment on what you think about the change and suggest new sections for our website. Our community is very important to us and we’re always eager to hear feedback on our work. Thank you for reading our first blog post, of which there will undoubtedly be many. Here’s a brief rundown on the site improvements:

Updated Forum System: The old forum system (phpBB) was getting clunky and hard to manage. We were constantly being attacked with spam and the database was overflowing with spam links and accounts. We’re still using a BB system (bbPress) so a lot of the functionality you’re used to should still be there. The organization of forums is a little cleaner and the search function will actually work! The private messaging system is separate from the forum system. Check your unread messages by clicking the link under your login name on the sidebar, or visit your profile page. You can send other users messages by clicking the “send message” button on their profile. Try it out!
New Blog: Check out all of our recent posts here. We’ll be adding new blog posts talking about community issues, editorials, new projects, larp concepts, and much much more. If you’re interested in becoming a contributor, or want to submit a link for us to write a post about, send me or another staff member a message. We appreciate all the help. Future posts will focus on news, community announcements, and other things the Larpworks staff deems important enough to write about.
More Exciting Updates: We’re not done yet! Future updates to the website are on the way. Including a potential store, newsletter, community marketplace, and a custom-built plugin that will allow you to track and update your larp characters directly on our website.
There’s a lot to talk about and even more that we want to accomplish, but we’re a small group of dedicated members. We’re always working hard to improve the experience for our players and customers. Larpworks is always looking for dedicated team members. If you’re interested in helping out either at the games, on the web, or with the community we’d love to hear from you. Send us a message via our contact page or message a staff member directly.

This has been a long time coming and frankly I’m glad that we’re doing this now. Larpworks is moving into another year of running and we’re only getting better. These updates and the other improvements will ensure we’re running quality larp games and releasing quality game products for years to come.

Thank you,

Teddy Blanchard

Update 2018

——————————————-

Wow! What a great iteration huh? We’re all excited and me especially to re-launch ourselves as we make great strides in becoming Louisiana’s best Larp Company. Here’s some quick updates from last time.

Most people already know but in case you didn’t we’ve moved on from BBpress, now we’re on vBulletin and we’re super happy about the change. I know there’s a lot of heat out there from some people who reviewed it, but it is a huge upgrade from BBpress. The forum is located at: http://forums.larpworks.com

Next is we now have a store (with SSL-Certificate!) located at http://shop.larpworks.com

Thanks for giving us a great first five years, and here’s to the next!
